Luminancia
Luminance es crucial for mostrar technology (screen brightness specifications), lighting design, roadway visibility analysis, y visual comfort assessment in trabajar environments.
Our converter handles todo estandar luminance unidades usado in photometry, mostrar engineering, y architectural lighting.

Luminance Unidad Reference
This es el/la fundamental unidad for todo modern mostrar specifications, lighting calculos, y photometric measurements. Typical valores: office lighting creates 100-500 cd/m² on white surfaces; computer monitors operate at 200-400 cd/m²; el/la clear sky es aproximadamente 8,000 cd/m².
Nit – Un/Una informal pero widely usado name for cd/m², especially popular in el/la consumer electronics y mostrar industries. "1000 nit mostrar" means 1000 cd/m² peak brightness capability. 1 nit = 1 cd/m² exactamente.
Foot-lambert (fL) – El/La traditional US unidad for luminance, still usado in cinema projection standards y algunos American lighting specifications. 1 fL ≈ 3.426 cd/m². SMPTE cinema standards specify 14-16 fL (48-55 cd/m²) for 2D projection y 3.5-6 fL for 3D. Increasingly replaced by cd/m² in modern specifications.
Stilb (sb) – El/La CGS unidad of luminance. 1 sb = 10,000 cd/m² = 1 cd/cm². Rarely usado today except in older cientifico literature, as valores for la mayoria practico surfaces seria be inconveniently small fractions.
Used cuando analyzing matte surfaces like painted walls o paper donde light scatters uniformly in todo directions.
Apostilb (asb) – El/La metric analog of el/la pie-lambert for diffuse surfaces. 1 asb = (1/π) cd/m² ≈ 0.318 cd/m². Also called el/la blondel in algunos European referencias. Used in algunos European lighting standards.
